Formulation

 

Ceftiofur (as hydrochloride) 50 mg, excipients qs ad 1 mL

 

Directions

 

Lactam antibiotic third generation cephalosporin with a broad spectrum; is active against Gram positive and Gram negative bacteria, including bacterial strains that produce beta-lactamase (penicillinase). Indicated in all the infections caused by susceptible organisms ceftiofur (as hydrochloride)

Dosage and Administration

Cattle: 1-2.2 mL/50 kg bw Swine: 0.6-1 mL/10 kg bw Sheep, goats and camelids: 0.22 to 0.44 mL/10 kg bw The treatment should be repeated every 24 hours for 3 consecutive days (up to 5 days in the case of metritis). Managing deep intramuscular injection.
